Wasu is an out station in Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. Located on the north western coastline of Morobe Province, it is also the gateway of Kabwum District. There are three ways you can travel to Wasu. Travelling by sea takes about 8 hours or a day by boat (outboard motors), depending on the sea conditions. Travelling on a ship takes about a day and half. Another means of transportation is by air, which takes about 30-35 minutes. Wasu has a government station, police, a primary school, secondary school and a sub health center. Etep Rural Hospital is also located in inland and has well trained hospital staffs as well as expatriate and national doctors and nurses. The Lutheral Church also has a ELC district headquarter (ELC Ukata District) located in Wasu. There are accommodations for visitors that are provided.
